The Baum School of Art
The Baum School of Art is a non-profit community art school located in center city Allentown. It has enriched the lives of thousands of adults and children throughout the Lehigh Valley for the past 83 years. The School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Pre-collegiate Art Schools and is a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts. The student body consists of people from all aspects of the community… from preschool age to senior citizens; young adults pursuing college credit through Lehigh Carbon Community College; teens preparing for college and underprivileged children and families who require full financial assistance.

The Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley embraces the broadest possible audiences, offering tremendous variety and quality in our collections and exhibitions, educational and popular programs, and a busy calendar of public events. We serve more than one hundred thousand participants annually, of whom more than fourteen thousand are children in school programs. The Museum’s collection of more than seventeen thousand works of art offers our community the opportunity to experience nearly two thousand years of cultural heritage in an accessible and visitor-friendly environment.

Miller Symphony Hall
The mission of the Allentown Symphony Association is to provide a first-class symphony orchestra and Hall, quality performing arts, and cultural education in partnership with the community. Miller Symphony Hall. The historic, 1150-seat Miller Symphony Hall is the premier performing arts facility in Allentown, the largest city in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.
Throughout its history, Symphony Hall has been host to a wide variety of musical and theatrical performances, including Placido Domingo, Phyllis Curtin, Rudolf Serkin, John Corigliano, Carol Channing, George Burns, Gracie Allen, Sarah Bernhardt, John Barrymore, Bing Crosby, Benny Goodman, and the Marx Brothers. Now in its 64th season, the Allentown Symphony Orchestra is the leading symphonic ensemble in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. Under the musical leadership of Music Director/Conductor Diane Wittry, the Allentown Symphony performs five Subscription Concerts each year.

El Sistema 2015
El Sistema Lehigh Valley, a program of the Allentown Symphony Association, brings underserved and special needs youth a free opportunity to develop life skills learned by participating in high-quality daily music instruction, large ensemble experience and performances, and academic tutoring within a safe and nurturing environment. Participants will develop discipline, the ability to set and achieve long-term goals, and a sense of social responsibility inside a community that cherishes creativity, imagination, and music. This will empower the Lehigh Valley community when their young artists, respective families, and community members come together to celebrate the achievement of their youths.
An award winning muralist, Matt’s work can be seen throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding region. Over the past decade, he has been commissioned for both indoor and outdoor murals for clients including Colgate University, Good Shepard Rehabilitation Hospital, the City of Bethlehem Parks Department and the Community Action Network of Allentown. He is also an accomplished gallery painter whose works have been featured in several galleries and private collections. Matt’s work in Allentown has impacted each of the Upside neighborhoods.
Youth Education in the Arts
Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!) is a non-profit organization based in Allentown, Pa. Its programs allow thousands of talented performers to participate in pageantry events nationwide. YEA!’s programs include The 10-time World Champion Cadets Drum Corps,Cadets2 Drum Corps, 2014 Open Class World Champion Cadets Winter Percussion, Cadets Winter Guard, Xcape Dance Studio, theDesignated Hitters and USBands, the largest sanctioning body for scholastic music competitions in the United States. In the organization’s illustrious history, YEA! performers have had the unique experience to appear most notably at the Summer Olympic Games, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, the World Cup and other notable national and international sporting events. While amassing a long and storied tradition, YEA! groups have been recognized as World Champions in various disciplines. Over 750 members have had the experience of winning gold medals for their performances, quite possibly an honor they would not be able to realize in any other part of their lives. YEA! invites the world of tomorrow and makes a huge difference in the lives of thousands of young people each year. Within the programs of YEA! young people gain an edge. They learn to cooperate, they learn to set goals, they work long and hard and they learn what it takes to be a success!
The Cadets is one of the world’s oldest andmost honored continually operating drum and bugle corps with members ages 16 to 22 from all over the country and world. They have won 10 American Legion National Championships and 10 Drum Corps International World Championships.
Since 2006, Xcape Dance Studio has provided a home where young people can find true friends, excellent teachers, a positive environment and a passion for dance. The studio offers low-cost, comprehensive dance education and aims to inspire and motivate students while fostering an appreciation for the arts.
